Is the entrance to your home overwhelmed by clutter? Chances are you haven’t got somewhere to plonk everything when you first walk in. A “landing strip” — an area designed for storing those items — can solve that problem and provide a decorating talking point.
AleXX’s example (check it out in detail in the Flickr set below) uses a bunch of IKEA components to create storage for clothes and other objects that’s functional and stylish, complete with easy to change photo display options. Little slips like this give LifeHacker the appearance of hurried rush. I appreciate that the sooner people are looking at the article, the sooner the ad-revenue comes in (and keeping the info-drip going helps too!) (and the fact that you have a life!) But it would be nicer if articles had a bit of polish.
