
If you regularly plug an iPhone and digital camera into your Mac, but don’t always want iPhoto or another default app to open for every single camera it detects, you’re in luck, at least if you’ve upgraded to Snow Leopard. Creig Sherburne points out that the Image Capture app has a preference pane in the lower-left corner that lets you set which photo handling app should launch for each particular camera.
