Camouflage Your Scanner As A Book

If your scanner doesn’t really go with your office décor, why not camouflage it to look like something else? Here’s a great example of spending very little to give your workspace a unique look.

One crafty DIY’er with a decidedly steampunk bent used an old leather satchel, a scanner he already had, and some hardware bits and pieces to give his scanner a finished look, successfully camouflaging it to look like an old tome.

You may not want to go for quite the antique look he did, but if you do, you’ll definitely want to pay attention to the little details of his build. The realistic “gilding” on the edges of the pages is actually a gold satin ribbon. Check out the link below for additional pictures and information, and if you’ve done your own camouflaging job on some office equipment, we’d love to hear about it in the comments.
