Google’s asking searchers to go ahead and kick the tires on its new search infrastructure, noting that most users won’t notice a difference in search results, but doing so helps them “push the envelope” on speed, size, comprehensiveness, and other benchmarks.

Google Operating System finds that the results are sometimes more related to recent events, while Search Engine Watch blog offers side-by-side screens and noting that the SearchWiki icons are gone, and a few in-house promotion links are moved around.
