iGoogle Working With Secure Gmail Connections

It's working for me, but only on my home computer...
My workplace blocks access to Gmail, but I could still see when I received messages with the iGoogle gadget before switching to 'always use https'. Now the filter blocks the gadget as well :(

Doesn't appear to work for me. Maybe it is not enabled in the UK yet. Can anyone confirm?

It doesn't appear to be working with Google Apps accounts, only regular Google Accounts.

Hmmm. It's either rolling out slowly or hasn't hit the Google Apps for EDU folks. I still can't get iGoogle to load my Google App mail unless I do it unsecured.

Too bad the gadget on the "home page" (portal) for my work's Apps for Your Domain doesn't work with https yet.

Does iGoogle block Gmail that doesn't require to be under a secure connection? Or is my school blocking the iGoogle Gmail workaround?

Right on. It works. It's been quite a few months when I switched over to HTTPS, that I lost the gmail gadget on my igoogle.

(Not sure if there's a diff / what the diff between the 3 or 4 versions listed in the gadget library, but I got one of them to work. The other one just flaked.)

I switched iGoogle to Netvibes because of this annoyance. I don't think I'm going back anymore.

Edit: Ah, it's just the .ca version that doesn't support this yet. The .com iGoogle works perfectly. Nice.

Finally! I used to do this, then they stopped allowing it for quite a while. I'm incredibly happy that they allow this again!

It still hasn't worked for me, maybe because I use google.ca/ig?

They still haven't rolled out the tabs on the side yet for Canada, not that I mind.

Update:
I might have to switch, google.com/ig works for email and it has the chat there, too!

I just tried this with my Google Apps custom homepage and it didn't work. I wonder if it will take a bit to get to the Google Apps pages as well

This is great, because now, Gmail will load in iGoogle only 15% of the time now. Thanks for explaining why it's broken for me!
