@VachelMaguffin: There are no old shirts. There are only loved shirts.

I've gotten dried blood out of a turquoise shirt and ground-in dark chocolate out of a white shirt with the same product that works every time - dishwashing liquid. Run some cold water in your sink, get the piece of laundry wet with it, then apply some of the liquid soap to the stain. Massage it in well, then rinse out. Repeat if needed. Works like a charm!

I have read that adding 2 aspirin tablets to your whites in the wash gets rid of yellow perspiration stains, but I haven't tried it so can't vouch for its effectiveness.

Would also like to see this. I take meds that increase the stains, and I can get them out everywhere except under arms.

Chocolate stains—even set in, ran-it-thru-the-dryer chocolate ice cream stains—come out easily. Just scrape off the actual chocolate, then dissolve a tbsp of laundry water softener (like Calgon) in a little cool or tepid water. Soak the stained area for a few seconds and scrub. Repeat the soak and scrub if necessary, but honestly, I've never had to. It just goes. Poof.

@switchblade saints: At the risk of sounding dumb ... how's that work (drinking more water i mean)?
My wife and I bought these nice microfibre sofa and love-seat when we got married.
We vowed never to dirty them, have food or drinks near it, etc.
My little 2-year old just can't help herself.
Pen, crayon, macaroni & cheese. You name it.
I have a two-year-old son. I'm SUPPOSED to be covered with stains.
Mix equal parts borax and liquid laundry detergent. Apply liberally on the stain. Let it sit for half an hour. Wash off with a 2 parts water and 1 part clear ammonia mixture.
For those extremely rare occasions when it is needed, repeat. The stains won't know what hit them.

1/3 cup of dish liquid , regular amount of laundry detergent , and one full cup of bleach, when the machine stops , start again on rinse cycle with no soap this time around . (This is for a full load)

@nolabar10der: Eh, should clarify that I wear them *under* something else, and not Icy Hot Stuntaz style...

@chiieddy: Yeah, but the the pits get holes in them. I avoid all of this by wearing wife beaters.

@Lola del Rio: Bleach
@Lola del Rio: drink more water
You know what I could use even more than this, is how to undo bleach stains.
Obviously I jest. I wish I made normal stains that had a chance of coming out...but sadly, I am just incompetent with a bottle of bleach in my hand.
Yes, use antiperspirant and buy throw out old shirts.

@Lola del Rio: Have you tried talcum powder?
