One recent batch of supposed Chrome OS Screenshots turned out to be a web developer’s prank, but the Download Squad blog has a new crop of leaked shots that look just a bit more convincing and fleshed out, rather than just a hastily re-worked Linux desktop.

Notable points include a single icon for “My Hard Drive and Files” and a majorly overhauled Chrome browser, along with some “partner” icons in the lower right and a single connection indicator (and possible launcher?) in the lower left. Of course, these shots could also be a re-working of a Linux kernel and desktop—that’s all Chrome would really be, of course—so we’ll keep an eye out for verification or disproving.
