DIY IKEA Bedside Table Printer Rack

ikeaprinterstandFinding somewhere to fit a printer in the office is often a hassle. Yew-Jin came up with a cheap and effective solution based around the $19.95 Rast bedside table from IKEA.

Over at IKEA Hacker, Yew-Jin details how flipping the table upside down and making a few strategic cuts created a stand that holds both his printer and fax machine, with enough room to open the lid on the latter. That might not seem essential if you’re using an all-in-one device, but the same principle could also be used to create space for an external hard drive or other useful peripheral.
