Dead-Simple Camera Clamp Mount

Flickr user six million dollar man loves creating timelapse videos with his new timelapse garden video camera, but when it came to mounting the camera for those long timelapses, he employed a little DIY ingenuity.

Using a cheap spring clamp and a simple thumbscrew that fits into the bottom camera mount, six million dollar man built this extremely simple but very effective camera mount.

It probably works as well if not better than the DIY alternatives to the Gorillapod that we’ve covered in the past, and it seems like it’d be especially sturdy for putting together timelapse videos (browse through six million dollar man’s Flickr stream to see a handful of his timelapses).

Just goes to show... Every time I think I have an original idea, someone else has done it already. :-)
