Actually, the website was compensating for your local time to show you the correct time you should be on the site. Which is 14:01 on Saturday, 13th.

The Facebook blog says it’s “Starting at 12:01 a.m. EDT on Saturday, June 13″.

Translated to AEST, that’s “Starting on 13 June, at 14:01″

So not a late night, a very easy time to get to your computer :)

I think that’s 2:01pm Sydney time – the blog post at http://blog.facebook.com/blog.php?post=90316352130 says “Starting at 12:01 a.m. EDT on Saturday, June 13″ which would line up with 2pm Saturday here.

So better for us, and midnight start for those in USA.
