DIY IKEA CD Rack Laptop Stand

ikeavinkWe’ve already shown you how to make a quick laptop stand from an IKEA bookend, and now here’s another idea that’s nearly as cheap, this time using a CD rack.

At IKEA Hacker, Erik M details how he uses the $3.95 Vink CD rack to let some air circulate around his machine. As he uses an external mouse and keyboard, he doesn’t need extra support — if you use your notebook in its natural state, then an alternative from our Top 10 DIY laptop stands might be more practical.
