Hi Mark,

I found uberTwitter working a bit better than TwitterBerry, the new update on UT makes it run faster, but it does drag on the battery life. so I’d turn off the GPS taging when you don’t need it."

Are you saying that if you turned your GPS tagging off, it wouldn't effect your battery life?

Do you have the latest version of UT for 8900? I would be happy if you have the OTA link :)

thanks a whole bunch!

I tried twibble, it also failed to materialize as functional. Once I realized it was java-based I let out yet another "Damn you Java" scream and moved on to UberTwitter. Never underestimate the foresight of Star Trek and the Trouble with Twibbles.

UberTwitter has a great UI and all the features work except the adding a picture, which gives me a "103" error during the upload to UberPic. I haven't figured that out yet.

twibble should run fine on your 8900. Depending on your setup the following settings may help:
_set up your APN correctly (advanced TCP settings)
_use https://twitter.com in Options->Server API root
You can try the latest beta from http://m.twibble.de (from your phone browser)
