Add Wheels To Your Furniture For Faster Cleaning
It’s always a nuisance shifting furniture to do the vacuuming, but you can ease the pain with a simple hack: adding wheels.
While wheels are a common fixture on office chairs, they’re less frequently found on lounge furniture and other household items. That didn’t stop Andrew from adding wheels to his IKEA Tullsta armchair, and offering a detailed tutorial on how to go about it.
The same principle can be applied to pretty much any item of furniture with a solid base (to attach the wheels) and a decent amount of weight (so it doesn’t slip when in use). My home CD storage cabinets got wheels added as soon as I assembled them, and if I hadn’t done that, I suspect the dust accumulation behind them would be impressive. If you’ve mobilised your own furniture, share your experiences — good or bad — in the comments.
