3Banana Uses Hash Tags To Keep Your Notes Tidy
If you’re looking for a simple to use but feature heavy way to keep take and share notes in the cloud, 3Banana makes organizing your notes easy with in-text hash tags.
You can sign up for an account at 3Banana or use your existing Google credentials to jump right in and try it out. Note creation is simple you can create basic notes simply by typing in the dialogue box or enhance the note taking process by including HTML tags and images. 3Banana automatically recognises pasted links and common formatting like phone numbers. You can categorise your notes by using hash tags like #tasks to tag your notes. You can also easily share your notes by publishing them to your Facebook and Twitter account or more traditionally by emailing or pasting the URL. There are currently apps available for both the iPhone and Android phones. For more great note-taking tools, check out the Hive Five on the topic.

Evernote has no Android client.
Evernote at least claims it doesn't support Chrome.
In my testing, Evernote text does NOT automatically become tags.
Evernote doesn't appear to have a simple "save this page" bookmarklet, or if it does, it's not made as obvious as the 3banana one is.
Overall they're different beasts, with different feature sets. I don't need what Evernote has that 3banana doesn't; I do need an Android client.

Meh, if you use Evernote, the text automatically becomes the tags (and Evernote can even search for text in images).

and why would I use this over something like Evernote that has way more features (and is still free)?
@Devon: I love it! You don't see the "appeal" of 3 Bananas... beautiful! And don't even try to tell me you meant that pun.
Lay-out reminds me of TiddlyWiki.
Love the android app, great for jotting down ideas that sync to the web and the hash tags make organizing them pretty damn easy.

I'm sorry, but I don't really see the appeal.
I have trouble keeping notes online as I often have trouble keeping notes on paper. I think a lot of things like this are much like the earlier post about exercise equipment; if you can't do it the easy/free way you won't do it the fancy/expensive way. I've got 2 steno pads at work that use to keep a task list and meeting minutes in.
I've got a couple long-term goals that I'm tracking right now. I printed a pocketmod with the fully year on the front, monthly pages, and a notes page on the back. So far I've been keeping track of 3 different projects for almost three weeks now! (Which, is a long time for me to keep notes).
Maybe someday I'll find use for net-notes, but for now the pocketmod fits right in my wallet and provides easy (and encouraging when I see the progress made!) access to my notes.
I started using this when the Android app hit the marketplace. It's by far the best web-syncing Android note app, and the web version alone is a definite contender.

Been using this app for a while now. Without a doubt the slickest, easiest, fastest note taking app out there.
