TweetGrid Monitors Multiple Twitter Searches In Real Time

TweetGrid is a fantastic way to take advantage of one of Twitter’s strengths, and one of the reasons we encouraged you to use it, instant real-time searching. TweetGrid arranges real-time searches in a customisable grid.

You don’t need to have a Twitter account to use TweetGrid, although logging in allows you to use the dashboard twitter client at the top of the screen. Without a login you can still create custom search boxes in varying configurations as simple as a 1×1 single panel or busier versions like a 3×3 panel, or even a 1×10 side scrolling bar. Each box is given a custom search term and you can adjust the panels from real-time updates to updating on timed intervals. You can select the number of tweets each box will hold before the new entries push the old entries off the roll and you can stop the updates completely if you need to freeze it in place. TweetGrid is a free service and only requires a login to enable tweeting from the TweetGrid dashboard. If you have a favoured way of monitoring twitter searches, sound off in the comments below.

This is my favorite Twitter tool. I have four Twitter accounts and I can tweet from all of them using one screen. There is a beta grid of two rows across with four screens each which is what I use exclusively to keep up to date on current topics.

I use this app all the time. It's a great program especially when you can't install tweetdeck.

I'm just happy to find a Twitter Trending site that's not blocked by our firewall policy. So far so good...for now.

TweetGrid is definitely my favorite way to track multiple searches. It's a great tool for watching for breaking stories or live-tracking niche topics.

TweetGrid rocks. The only issue is that you have to login each time you run it - especially if you wants a tab dedicated to your friends list.

I had never heard of TweetGrid before. Thanks for this post, Jason!

I've been looking for something to fill in the gaps with Tweetdeck. After setting up several groups in Tweetdeck, I didn't have enough columns left over for searches. TweetGrid is perfect.

I still have not tried any desktop apps for Twitter, but this one definitely sounds useful. I spend part of my day looking up the same things, and it would be nice to see them automatically refresh.

    Not bad!
My current solution is Netvibes with multiple Twitter widgets and Twitter search widgets!

Anyway to port these searches into an RSS feed? I want to search for specific keywords, but I want to get them all saved and collected into my RSS feed reader.

Monitter (http://www.monitter.com) is another useful tool for monitering multiple searches.

I prefer monitter.com compared to TweetGrid. It really looks like TweetDeck in a webapp. Also, the website remember your tab config.
