The Lime Green Living Room

What do you get when you combine your living space and your home office? If it involves lots of colour, a HDTV-as-monitor, plants, and a mountain bike you get RunningDive’s office.

Lifehacker reader RunningDive doesn’t mess around when it comes to meshing his work and play spaces. Living in a small apartment puts space at a premium, and RunningDive opted to turn his living room into combination home office and living space.

The result is a colourful room packed with personality and electronic goodness. He’s got a small workstation with a Mac set up in the corner that’s paired with an HDTV linked to an HTPC and his Xbox 360. The couch setup is great for giving him the option to surf and get work done or take some needed goof off time. The windows let in tons of light—much appreciated by the betta fish named Dave— and give him a great spot to grow some plants for some air-purifying goodness.

For more pictures of his office, including some shots of the space when it was completely empty and definitely not lime green, check out the link below. If you want to check out more combined work and play spaces make sure to take a peek at previously featured workspaces: Packing Work and Play Into Small Spaces, The Student’s Sanctuary, and The Media Mecca.

Darius – at the link it says his macs aren’t paired with the 360 – that he just uses it for DVDs and games.
