Skype 4.1 Beta Has Proper Firefox Extension Uninstaller

skypeuninstallimprovedA small but welcome improvement in the just-released Skype 4.1 beta: the annoying Skype Firefox extension now has a standard uninstaller.

That means you can ditch its annoying number-mangling ways without needing to resort to manual folder management. It would still be better to have the choice of it never being installed, but at least this is a start.

    Skype and Firefox used to work so well. I used it every day because it was so fast and easy. Now it’s useless. They say that 4′1 is the fix and I say it makes no difference on my sony vio. Very disappointing.

    Is there a way I can rid my system of the new version and get back to 3.5 which worked perfectly?
