+1 for mp3tag, easy, simple and effective. Personally I use f2k for playback but it doesn’t seem to support cover art tagging.

I use TagScanner for all my mp3 tags

Best app I could find for renaming tags, wide file support and has a heap of handy tagging features.

It tamed my library back when it was about 40Gb worth… everything is so easily updated now, especially with the Amazon lookup
