Let Simon Decide Makes Tough Decisions Easy
Web site Let Simon Decide is a decision-making application intended to walk you through important decisions one step at a time.
Let’s say, for example, you’re considering switching careers. Register with Let Simon Decide, then click the big Make a Smart Decision button to get started. Choose your decision type from a drop-down and start walking through the suggested decision-making wizards. Simon will present you with various questions and forms to fill out, and—assuming it works—eventually suggest a decision based on what the process has revealed about what matters most to you.
Essentially it’s not really Simon making the decision, since the idea is that the app just helps you think about the most important factors in your decision. You’d be crazy to let a web application make a difficult decision for you anyway, so it seems like it’s taking the right approach. Got an important decision you’re struggling with? Try it out on Simon and let us know how it worked for you in the comments.

This seems like a nice little tool, while it isn't exactly providing any new knowledge the way talking to another person would, it forces you to put everything into perspective, to lay all of the factors out in front of you and look at the situation logically, which can sometimes be difficult to do just like that.
I dunno...seems interesting, maybe as a second, third or fourth opinion for a tough decision, but I think I'd prefer to stick with talking to family, friends and my therapist for handling tough situations. At least that way I have some human interaction as well.
It'd be better if you didn't have register.

Shuld I sell all my GM stocks or hold it?
Can't wait to see some bozo walk through the wizards with the question, "Knock over credit unions or mug a hundred old ladies: which will get me to retirement quicker".
The question will be asked by one of those bank jerks who have done such a great job of wrecking the economy.

Should I use it to decide if I'm going to use it? or is it going to give me a biased opinion?
PSA for the Humor Impaired: This was sarcasm. This was just sarcasm. Had this been a real question I would have been slapped silly by one of my friends. Thank you.

Too bad you can't ask it if you should register or not. :-)
No bigger turn off than slapping a service like this with a registration.

I never got the confirmation email...
I much prefer pollmyfinger.com ... for the less life-changing stuff.

I tried it, and it can actually help to get an order of your ideas, it's something you could do on your own but if youu need help it's cool I guess
@Jurgen Beliën: By that logic, never ask your friends for advice because you could become dependent upon it.

I can't help but feel that this is a 'bad thing'.
Decision-making should be a skill that is taught at a young age, not something that a web-app can magically do. Letting people get dependent on a web-app for a fundamental skill in life seems to me just plain wrong.

You guys covered this before, but Hunch.com has been working for me. I think it's still private, though.

Based on your input, my recommendation is:
Oops! There's a Tie
Well that helped...

I found the same decision making info via ... www.eeni-meanie-minie-moe.com

Maybe you guys should stop being so lazy. What is entering a little bit of information going to hurt you? It takes literally one minute to do so.

In my opinion, it's a pretty cool computer app. It lets you choose to make education, financial, business, and health decisions in much more.
The user-interface is great. Simple, straight-forward use, and a big red button that says "make a smart decision now" so there's never any getting lost finding your way to the decision section.
It's a nice program, but I would never leave my decisions up to a mere coin-flip app.
Haha Nice.

It's bad enough how many people can't seem to think for themselves these days...

Is it just me, or is the music on their video oddly similar to Coldplay's Strawberry Swing?
Yeah, this sounds like a good way to get your thoughts in order so you can more easily see a good solution for your decision. I'll keep this in mind if I am stuck on something. Maybe it will help nudge me in the right direction.
@arienh4: Perhaps it has been filtered as spam. Yahoo is notorious for that. Try Gmail or Windows Live.
@MacnairReptile: All those "literally one minute/s" tend to add up to little fustration after a while.
If you are about to suggest something like BugMeNot, then I must ask why site administrators force users to register when it is common knowledge that we could bypass the process if we wanted to?
As a consumer who with limited time and resources, I do not wish to have to give something just to find out I do not like the service. Where is the button for a trial run?
