Widerbug Tweaks Firebug To Fit Your Wide Screen
Firefox: If you’ve ever sighed and said “Oh Firebug, if only you were wide screen!”, today is your lucky day. Widerbug is a version of the popular web development tool tweaked for wide screens.
Firebug is a handy tool for examining the HTML and CSS code of a website along with the page itself. The original extension orients the site and the code horizontally. You can detach the panels and move them around, but then they don’t update when you switch tabs.
Widebug is a tweaked version of Firebug, the site and the code panels are displayed side by side to take advantage of wide screen monitors. The panels maintain their connection to each tab, doing away with the phantom code effect found in Firebug when you try to coax it into wide screen mode. Widerbug is a free extension and works wherever Firefox does.

Now this is a godsend. Widescreen monitors are amazing for my productivity (I use them exclusively if possible, in addition to virtual desktops).
...Just another reason to love Firefox more.

But I will stick with chrome....nothing doubt in it ;)

Nice. I detach Firebug and put it in my 2nd monitor which works great.
I use the allinone sidebar extension to do something similar, got to try out firebug though.

@TheLostVikings: Not only should you check out Firebug, check out the add-ons for Firebug. There's a bunch of them, including YSlow and some other very useful ones.
@scokar: That's exactly what I do - it's by far the best web development tool ever created =)
@scokar: Yep. Multi-monitor development is the way to go. Having the ability to pop-out Firebug is one of its best features.

@scokar: I usually detatch firebug too, but then I dont have any room for my editor. So this extension really is a godsend.

@Amarjit Singh: Linking to your personal site in your sig is not permitted.
@scokar: That is usually how I go about it too.

I'd change careers and possibly die inside a little if I ever lose firebug. Thanks for this tip!
Sorry, firebug. Typo.

The question is: does it work with firebox extensions like codeburner for Firebug? There are several add-on expansions that add additional functionality to Firebug that need to be considered too.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to just make this an extension to Firebug that enables vertical view?
