I found my car using crazedlist last May. My region was broken up into a dozen separate sites and it took forever to search each one. Googled around for something like this, found crazedlist, and used it daily until I found what I was looking for.

This is pure and simple evil. Apps like this are the reason some douche bag in Russia or Nigeria wants to send me a check for 5k every time I list something on craigslist. Who ever created this app should be on karma's short list for getting hit by a bus; figuratively speaking of course.

It's great to have another resource, but the Craigslist Reader app [lifehacker.com] that you guys featured before has been absolutely fantastic. It also has an alert function that lets you define a search, and it will notify you when something is added. The down side is it does the search periodically from your system tray. The up side is it's coming from your IP, so it will be much more difficult for Craigslist to kill the program, as opposed to web based apps like Crazedlist.

I've been using Crazed list for quite a while. I love it!

this has been around for a while now; 2 years or more. it's a great service, and very useful.

I give it a week before this one is shut down, too. Disabling referrers isn't going to stop a site as big as craigslist.

Uh, can't get it to work. If by "requires a little hoop-jumping" you mean getting stuck in an endless loop, then yes, that's what is required.

I create the search, click RSS feed, get that popup, read the popup, close the popup, recreate my search, click RSS feed, ad infinitum.

Anyone get the RSS bit to work?

Dont forget the old standby method: goto google.com in the search type... Site:craigslist.com this will give you all the results for the site. Not limited to states.

Crazedlist certainly works, but I've become a big fan of Search Tempest www.searchtempest.com.

The ability to search for what you want within a mile radius you set, of a zipcode you input, is a pretty killer way to expand your search. Add the image viewer from craigstoolbox.com and you have a pretty good tool!
