Society as a whole is becoming to tolerant of fat people, i am 80kg and 5'11'' and now have to purchase slim shirts or get shirts cut in because i don't have the stock standard gut that seems to be so accepted these days.

Over time smoking has become more and more socially unacceptable, hopefully soon eating maccas will see you shunned ...

why doesn't the airline industry say that a ticket entitles you to 100kg. Passenger and luggage stand on scales. Anything over is charged at excess baggage. Up to the passenger the passenger/luggage split.
Seems fair to me and I'd be paying excess ....

On some airlines, the seats are so close, I can't sit with my legs forward. I'm 6'2" but have quite long legs. This is stupid. Airlines that do this never get my business again, no matter how cheap they are.

A slightly cheaper price might seem nice, but even on shorter trips - I'm sure plenty of people who fly routinely would be happy to pay for a little extra space.
