If you had an ebook like a kindle or I even use my smartphone and the screen doesn’t hurt my eyes too much or you could always get an audio book from a site like audible if you put this on any mp3 player it would last for a while and your probably already taking your mp3 so no extra weight is added.

I take a PSP filled with movies, podcasts and music. You can fit a lot of movies, video and audio on a couple of 4 gig cards. Along with a selection of different games, a spare battery, noice cancelling headphones and a book I find that will keep me amused from Perth to LA, so I guess it would do for a 23 hour delay.

Couldn't agree more with the benefits of having magazines to read when travelling rather than books. Also, reading something current always gives you something to talk about with the guy sitting next to you.

On another note, you've hyperlinked half your post with a dodgy href tag. If you fix it quietly, I'll pretend it never happened :P
