Does the iphone have to be jailbroken to use Swirly? If not does anyone know where I can download Swirly?

Upgrading a jailbroken iPhone will indeed result in it not working, and Apple won’t do anything to help support it. It’s widely expected that someone will come up with a workaround allowing jailbroken iPhones to run iPhone 2.0 and access the App Store — but it hasn’t happened yet. So if you’re happy with your phone for now, don’t upgrade it.

Still want the new 4.0 Installer Apps when its ready. Love the Swirly MMS & MMS viewer. The Tunewiki for lyrics to all my tunes.Snapture for the camera with zoom & self timer also can take pics in black & white or color. There are still a lot of great apps on Installer the App store does not have.

In all probability you’d need to unlock it again — probably best to wait until there’s clearer methods for doing that.

Forgive my ignorance but will the iPhone 2.0 software allow me to use my currently unlocked 1st generation iPhone on Vodafone Australia or will I need to unlock it again?
