I use SugarSync (www.sugarsync.com).

It works great and provides backup.

I use Dropbox (getdropbox.com)
Although it wasn't specifically made to synchronise files between computers, it does that and allows me to access the files anywhere in the world, even if none of the computers the files originally came from are turned on.

Another vote for PowerFolder (powerfolder.com). Java-based, fully cross platform. It can also do multi-way sync's, e.g., if you want to synchronise 3 computers. Also has a http proxy in the pro version ($10-$15 per computer per year), and can do synchronising via DynamicDNS etc.
