OTR includes one time pads and key verification features, so it&#039;s not only encrypted over the wire, but even if your machine is exposed down the line, the key cannot be used to decrypt past conversations. You have security, repudiation, AND verification in one tool (you share a phrase with your friend via some other, presumably secure method to identify him via otr)&lt;/p&gt;</description>
